Disability Rights are Human Rights

Tangata is a Maori word, which roughly translates to "essence of being human" — a description that fits the goals and purposes of the organization. Tangata Group aims to serve as a resource of information, strategies, ideas and technical assistance for people with disabilities around the world.

Tangata Group represents intellectual capital that is readily available for those who need assistance and support in enhancing the rights of people with disabilities to a better life as envisioned in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We provide education, lectures, and training with the goal of co-creating opportunities with people with disabilities to advocate for their rights under law.
